by the team around the fire at Leyte and earned his Jersey. Rock

18 -- Leyte is in the books -- and congrats team on a narrow victory
5275 to 5200 over the JAPS. Also congrats on the MVT, 2 x MVP,
2 x XO, and Special Service awards.

-- (By Thumper) After running with Dog Co at Tarawa and Casino,
Aerion and I sat down to lunch. Over gnawed bones of swine and fowl
we conjured up the notion of inviting a few Dogs to join Section8
- with the provision that they continue to play for and support
their home team. They could run as Section8 as full members at games
their home team may not be attending. Maintaining good relations
with the Dogs is the ctitical component. Brian asked the Dogs if
playing for two teams was OK with his team, and having recieved
their blessing, I extented our invitation to Brian, Mo and Ali.
And over this past weekend Section8 voted unnanimously in
favor of accepting these three dog soldiers into our ranks.
Furthermore Brian has accepted nomination to the board. (Board approval
pending)

As Santa arrives back from delivering presents he finds a
note attached to the front door of the workshop. It reads, "Dear
Fat Man, we have your wife and if you want to see her again you
will do as we say. We will give you further instructions soon
as to what to do. Signed, THE ELVES"
Come on out to this 6 hour scenario game as Sata and his reindeer
fight the rebellious elves and try to get Mrs. Clause back.

Ive invited Chappy to join us for a few games as my guest - and
I defacto'd spook onto the roster as a member due to his long standing
affiliation w/ Ball Busters - and he got me in a one-on-one. His
skills have come a long-long way. Deebo earned his doo-wrag at Sniper!
and is impressing quite a few folks running and gunning. - I think
we have a LAWS operator!!
Everyone please make sure you have a Marauder or Fusion Light jersey
as we go into the fall season. I want to look like a team - not
a bunch of walkons.

- Welcome to Section 8 -
What is Section 8? - It is an combination of scenario paintball
players from several teams from South Carolina.
The purpose is this: many players get frusterated or boarded trying
to cooperate with other teams only to be left out to dry or ignored;
or trying to push ones own team beyond its abilities or desires
only to become likewise frusterated; or even become tired of trying
to gather the same old guys to go play to end up playing alone -
or nearly so.
With an Army of 25 active ballers, its more than likely that the
critical mass required to do big things can be achieved without
relying too much on other teams for cooperation.
The organization of the team/league is in formation now. I envision
members on the roster contining to grow. A desired size of 25 members
hitting 4 events in force a year sounds like a working plan.
