 June
26, 2009 : Cambodian fun --- A Private Affair - BYOP / BYOA
--the day started just before 9am - in attendance: thumper,
john-john, josh, gabe, wilson, jamie -- lb showed up, but got called
in to work.
game--location -- defenders -- duration
kick the can -- village -- thumper+jamie -- 13:01
kick the can -- village -- jamie+wilson -- 3:31
kick the can -- village -- gabe+wilson -- 3:55
kick the can -- village -- john-john+josh+thumper -- 9:52
school bus --cambodia (finger) -- jamie+gabe -- 10:59
school bus -- cambodia (far bridge) -- wilson + jamie -- 13:38
competition: excellent
fellowship : excellent
notes: the field is speeding up considerably with the additional
of new speed trails and general clearing of the areas surrounding
the village - lots of new stuff including some sporty target silhouettes
w/ fancy-smancy Iraqi sleeves.
we added a new twist:
in order for a defender to "pick his replacement" he must
gain two kills or have played two games, or he goes again. One adult
can pick two kids, or two kids pick one adult.
We wrapped right at 1:00 as the temps soared and headed over to
CiCi's for pizza and lots of water.

Kick the can in Cambodia x 2
Kick the can in Laos x 1

Day wrapped up around 2:30 and a few headed over to cici's to talk

David adds: "Had a great time Thumper. Good to see Eddie
(Kermit, didn't we used to call him that?) and Wilson again. Jamie

June 6, 2009 : Sat: Eddie, Jessie, Gabe and I rolled in
around 10:30am - and Todd was there, and his wife. David showed up
around 11 and we started playing some 2 on 4 heavy spawn type games.
David's friend Bubba joined up around 1:30 just in time for some more
Normandy styled 2 on 4.
Games : 3X - Normandy - Major Tom -- 3X - Top field - Major
Tom -- 1X - Pond Field - Kick The Bucket
3X - Normandy - Major Tom | We wrapped around 3:00 as everyone
was wiped, and getting pretty hungry. | Safety & Sportsmanship:
no gripes - clean play. | Food: On way back towards Camden
we descended on The RiverWalk Cafe down at Beaver Creek (HW97) to
find a large herd of Harley Davidson types had beat us to it - but
they made PLENTY of room as we looked a bit worst for the wear - burgers,
wings, phillys and slaw dogs - oh my. Pretty tasty, and better than
you would expect from looking at the place. | After riding
the better part of an hour to get there I was a little disappointed
with the lack players but everyone had a good time none the less.
| Pricing : $5.40 entry or $10.80 entry+all-day-air. Draxxus
paint = $45/cs or $12.50/bag. BYOP allowed. |
 May
23, 2009 : Sat : Knife, Eddie, John-John and I rolled into
Wateree around 11:00 - and spend the next hour roping and taping off
the "Normandy" field. By 12:00 there were enough players
and we played a number of 4 on 7, endless spawn, Major Tom type games
where the attackers had to fight across open fields into fortified
positions to find and rescue Major Tom from the defenders. Maybe 4
turn around games at Normandy, a pair of games at the pond, and we
closed out at the upper field. Everyone left playing after 4pm were
headed onto the speedball field. | Four fields are now open for play:
Normandy, The Pond, Speedball, and the yet to be named upper woodsball
field. | Goggle & barrel sleeve safety was much better than the
previous weekend, and the field is steadily improving. | Hats off
to Todd & staffers : good times, good fun. |

@ Command Decisions -- Two Section 8 and one guest attending. | Section
8 signed on with the NVA lead by Bill Greenman Ford of
Team ODX | Section 8 with a prearranged alliance with The River Rats
and Rogue Cell where given a specific Area of Operation. The task
was to keep The Green Area clear so the mission could be completed.
This worked very well. | Teams sided with (NVA) Section 8: Boxer,
River Rats, Rogue Cell, Lethal Paintball, Tango Alpha, 5th Legion,
Capital Offense, Phantom Recon Ops, Recon One, Those Guys, B Squad,
and AFC. | Other Highlights: Even with small numbers Section 8 did
well when Partnered with other teams. Also we have one Hell of a recruit,
Angelas brother Kevin, in only his second time ever playing
Paintball and the First scenario has taken to the game like a fish
in water. I am looking forward to Fulda Gap in the fall and I may
wet my pants before it gets here. | Special Thanks to
Tombstone with the River Rats and Ironman with Rogue Cell. |

and lastly, if recball stays like this, it is putting question marks
in my head about scenarios games. I'm having more fun just rec'in

THE
CODE |
|

There is an organization stretched
across the US focused on bringing scenario players together under
a professional code of conduct for the future of scenario paintball.
This organization also helps provide a network to communicate and
fellowship with other members in the brotherhood. If you are interested
please read on..
MISSION: "Our mission is to provide
a nationwide fraternal organization of scenario paintball players,
dedicated to fostering and sharing devotion to the sport as a game
played with heart, will, honor and integrity, in the spirit of a
true brotherhood, based on mutual respect and friendship."
THE CODE: As a member of the Scenario
Brotherhood my fundamental duty is to support scenario paintball
and the Brotherhood through ethical, professional and legal play.
I am to exceed all others in my playing ethics and generosity.
I will foster new and younger players to
help them mature and grow into players that are worthy of the Brotherhood.
I will support other members of the Brotherhood with their scenario
endeavors and efforts.
I will be exemplary in obeying the rules
of the game. I will never act officiously or permit personal feelings,
prejudices, animosities or friendships to influence any decision
I make.
I recognize that my membership in the Scenario
Brotherhood is a symbol of everything that is right in scenario
paintball and I am to constantly strive for those standards.
These high standards are to be maintained
on and off the field in everything I do. I must keep these standards
in order to protect scenario paintball, the Brotherhood, our sponsors,
our leadership, and to insure that the Brotherhood remains a part
of scenario paintball through the future.

THE
CI |
|

Who are the CI: The Carolina Interceptors
are a group of pump and stock class paintballers in the Carolinas
who are dedicated to pump play - The group members gather in a rather
ad-hoc fashion at friend's houses, rec-fields, tournaments and scenario
games across the South East to have a bit of fun and fellowship.
The benefit of joining the CI comes through the fun and fellowship
found in playing with like minded paintballers.
Website: http://carolinainterceptors.tripod.com
Dues: Nope, None.
Carolina Interceptors Mission Statement
1. To set an example to all players, field
owners, observers, and refs by playing honorably and fairly.
2. To promote the sport, especially pump
and stock play, in a positive light and show others that skill can
overcome firepower and win, regularly.
3. To have fun and create new friendships
with other players.
