Troubleshooting AT Triggers
Troubleshooting AT Triggers

JAMMED - WONT FIRE

Problem : The AT is timed to fire as the black block makes contact w/ the body (ie. zero tolerance) and the marker occassionally JAMS (wont fire)

Solution :
Ease the lug up some and retime the marker to fire at 1/16" of an inch. 1/8" is likely a bit too much.

Problem : On an 86 degree slider, that little screw that rides in a CCM frame that keeps the trigger slop out can come out. If cranked down, gun wont shoot. If loose, it can back out. If it falls out, the AT'ed marker wont fire.

Solution :
A bit of blue locktight and a few spares screws for the gear box.

Problem : If the marker is timed to fire at < 1/32", and occassionaly wont fire

Solution : Try backing your back block out a turn or two. This will open the tolerance another 1/32 and make the marker more reliable. < 1/32 is asking for trouble.

Solutions :
Ease the lug up some to open the tolerance a hair (1/16")

Problem : AT'ed marker wont shoot up hill

Solution : Your pump return spring is too loose. The pump is slopping backwards putting the market into safety. Try holding the pump handle foward and 2) get a heavier pump return spring.

VELOCITY DROP OFF WHILE AT'ing

If you hold the trigger and pump away and notice your shots while AT'ing dont have the power of the non-AT'ed shots : here is a bit of wisdom:

Your bolt has an inlet hole that accepts the gas from the valve through its little hole. If these holes are perfectly alligned, you get maxium velocity. When you AT and your timing is set at 1/16" or more, your bolts inlet hole and your valves outlet hole are not aligned perfectly anymore.

Solution : Time your marker for 1/16" operations and chrony.

Solution : Look at your bolt design. Your bolt may have a very small inlet hole (think 1st gen Cocker bolts). If so, get a bolt with a large inlet hole.

Now look at the bolt below. See the elongated inlet hole. This allows for a bit of slop in the alignment w/o dropping velocity.

Belsales supercharge bolt --

  • All aluminum - sloted intake, 6 hold design
  • "Supercharger diffuser bolt for Autocockers (known in some markets as the Evolution Bolt for Autococker). Lightweight bolt with six angled ports for ultra accuracy, produces a low pressure, very gentle pop on the ball which makes ball "blow throughs" a thing of the past. Comes complete with a solid stainless retaining pin with no ball bearings to fall out. Mechanism for retaining the pin is contained in the bolt."
