I say, AS A TEAM, we stick to our hardcore conceptual roots: Now, as one of the leaders of this team, I think we should lead "softly" - inspiring instead of pushing. Leading from the front instead of yelling from the back. Expecting excellence, but being content with just about anything*. There is room in Section8 for anyone (and overtime, we will find a niche for you that works for all). * Practice fixes everything. Once accepted, you will earn your jersey. Our jersey is our flag - our standard that symbolizes our code of excellence, our commitment to our team, and our code of conduct. Once a member, you represent the TEAM. This also means you are accountable to the TEAM for your actions. As a guest, friend or recruit : if you register with us as a guest of Section8 - you are also accountable to the TEAM for your actions - because HONOR and INTEGRITY are team things. Section8 aspires to the Mission and Code of the Scenario Brotherhood :
THE CODE: As a member of the Scenario Brotherhood my fundamental duty is to support scenario paintball and the Brotherhood through ethical, professional and legal play. I am to exceed all others in my playing ethics and generosity. I will foster new and younger players to help them mature and grow into players that are worthy of the Brotherhood. I will support other members of the Brotherhood with their scenario endeavors and efforts. I will be exemplary in obeying the rules of the game. I will never act officiously or permit personal feelings, prejudices, animosities or friendships to influence any decision I make. I recognize that my membership in the Scenario Brotherhood is a symbol of everything that is right in scenario paintball and I am to constantly strive for those standards. These high standards are to be maintained on and off the field in everything I do. I must keep these standards in order to protect scenario paintball, the Brotherhood, our sponsors, our leadership, and to insure that the Brotherhood remains a part of scenario paintball through the future. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Guests: read this page. If you don't understand something please ask. If you don't like the idea of being accountable for your actions to this team, please mention your feelings to the member that invited you. We can help you register as a free agent and still side with Section8 - just not as a guest of Section8. We must protect our flag. It is a matter of Honor. Members: you are also responsible for the actions of your guests. Choose your guests wisely. Make sure your guest understands this credo BEFORE inviting them to team practice or to sign with us at an event, and be damn sure they understand our credo BEFORE letting them wear our team jersey. Loaner Jerseys: I feel if any future guest has read and understands this credo and agrees to its principles, then he is welcome to wear our standard as a guest for now. I would like to have a jersey style for guests that are different from the regular jerseys... But that is a matter for future discussion. The Section8 Drinking Policy At Cambodia - no drinking before, during or after unless otherwise directed by property owner. At other fields : check w/ property owner. At PBC, Skeeter adds :"Once anyone has a single drink, you should not enter the field of play until that beverage has worked it's way OUT of your system (minimum of 2 hours). I live by this rule, and I would very much appreciate if all others at PBC take the same approach to alcohol & playing." -- "If underaged - Once you (the underage person) have enjoyed a beverage, then you MUST stay on the premises, and not leave the property, looking for trouble." Section8 Rules:
Thumper's personal comments on underaged drinking : "If you are underaged, and you plan on drinking - don't let me see you and don't take anything I brought or bought. It looks bad to make an ass out of yourself, but to have teens getting hammered at our camp might land you/us/me in jail - and that ain't happening." Aerion's personal comments on drinking :"Regardless of location, once you crack open a beer, put away your gear : you are done playing for the day" More credo goodies :
