Platoon Leader Game 7 Nov
Attended 2 Section 8 (Robert, Angela)
Arrived at Command Decisions Paintball after wings at Wings and
Ale late Thursday evening. Set up camp and turned in around 2:00
am. Friday morning attended safety briefing and was later issued
paint and supplies for the platoon leader game. Platoon leader game
lasted from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. 30 people attended the Friday
game. The game had unique rules such as how much paint you could
carry, 40 round TAC caps and resupply of paint, air and food on
the field. This left no reason to leave the field the entire game.
We never received our supply of lunch due to constant movement in
the field. Our objective was to find a defector, capture him and
move him to a designated LZ. Green side found the defector before
the tan side at which time we returned back to our camp geared down
and attended the game debriefing. We won two shirts, two paintball
harnesses and Ferg supplied those who did not receive lunch with
meal tickets from an onsite food vendor as well as two $25 coupons
for paint to use at the Fulda Gap game. We then returned to camp
to prepare for Fulda Gap.
Fulda Gap Game 8-9 Nov
Attended 3 Section 8 (Robert, Angela and Scorch)
Friday evening we were briefed by our East German Infantry (EGI)
command, Werewolf formally of Rogue Cell informed us of game developments.
Paint, air, and a continuous running safety briefing on video all
started Friday night. I wish other fields would adopt this policy.
When Saturday game day arrived we had everything ready to hit the
field. Cards punched for safety briefing and chrono where all check
as we entered the field. Saturday 9:00 am NATO vs. Warsaw Pact:
Nato was allow an hour to pre-deploy on the field. Warsaw pact inserted
at 9:30 am. Due to low count of Section 8 we were detached to team
lethal paintball in the EGI. We could see US Special Forces scouting
our position. We were later given the offensive when we heard Werewolf
yell I WANT THAT DMZ AND I WANT IT NOW! We crossed the
DMZ in about 10 min and engaged in a large fire fight pushing the
NATO forces back. At which point the 3 of us were shot out and had
to regroup at the dead zone5. We did not see lethal paintball again
until sometime Sunday morning. We started drafting single players
into Section 8 and started a direct line of comms with command having
supplied them with a team radio before entering the field that morning.
Command gave us the task of holding holiday for two hours which
we did. Then we were assigned holiday as our AO. As the day continued
command gained more confidence in Section 8 thus giving us the responsibility
of having teams check in with us upon arrival at holiday for further
info from command.
At 12:00 when the points were scored and we were relieved by team
River Rats to go reinforce a push on Hamburger Hill. As we entered
the area of Hamburger Hill a group was engaged with Nato Forces,
but with no real Push. Scorch laid HEAVY FIRE and moved across the
road and took out a bunker, at that point Robert and Angela flanked
the Wood line where we took out three and with in 10 min Hamburger
Hill was in EGI control.
We had a stand down for dinner at 5:00. We decided not to play the
night round due to our heavy lead and had dinner at a near by Pizza
buffet less than 3 or four miles from the field.
Sunday morning NATO was again Pre- inserted and our force had a
staggered insert, one 50 person group every 15- 20 min. Section
8 was given a mission right of the bat to hold two bridges for one
hour. Both objectives met. We then were sent to help with a push
on Sim City. As we approached Sim from fire base REX a NATO tank
sped (literally) out of the city causing 20-30 of us to scatter
like ants. The tank was defiantly going over the 5mph rule. Angela
and Scorch fell back into fire base REX while Robert managed to
advance on to the city. We managed to regroup on the wood line of
Sim city and spent the rest of the last hour in the fire fight at
Sim. Angela was shot out and reinserted at the entry point and spent
the last hour of the game sniping small groups of 3s and 4s
that managed to get around the Warsaw Pact at Sim City.

Yall talking about me again? lol Thanx guys, and Hamburger Hill
was fun. lol Loved camping at Holiday in, now I really can say,
"No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night."
lol And the tank that he's talking about, wow. That thing was hauling,
and it scattered more like 60 of us, I know that myself and atleast
4 others litterally dove into the trench at REX. Never did find
out who took him out....
